All around the 179th Airlift Wing, you can find it progressively picking up the pace. More planes, more people and more to get done.
The flightline is taking on a familiar appearance, with legacy C-130H Hercules ready to taxi out or taking a moment to refuel. Aircrew is getting in flying hours. Maintenance is hard at work keeping them flying. Tails are being painted to sport the familiar Mansfield banner.
Recruiting reports are pushing out the highest numbers they have seen in years, people are ready to serve their country and support the state of Ohio in the Air National Guard.
Operations are picking up tempo, and it's welcomed hard work here in Mansfield. The dedicated men and women of the 179th Airlift Wing expect a total of 8 aircraft in the near future and stand ready to put their world class airlifter experience on display at a moments notice.
