179th Airlift Wing hosts base tour
A group of 25 children from Mansfield City Schools Hearing Program joined their translators and teachers on a tour of the 179th Airlift Wing, sponsored by the Sertoma Club, in Mansfield, May 15, 2014. The children ranged from 2nd grade through 12th grade and reside all around the surrounding area. Mr. Merris Jr, Sertoma Club treasure, said it’s their mission to improve the quality of life today for those at risk or impacted by hearing loss through education and support. The 179th members are committed to the community outreach programs in hopes to inspire children and that they gain a better knowledge of what the Air National Guard has to offer.
